This is one of the value roughs I did for the new version of my tree city. I did the inking, printed it on brown paper and then used marker and pencil on it. It actually came out as a nice picture on it's own. I adore brown paper!
DETAILS OF INKING & THE OTHER ROUGH SHOWN HERE: [link]
Thanks! I'm surprised at how often people say they want to live in my trees. If only I had a way to build them for real I could make a lot of money *LOL*
Thanks so much for your nice comment! I'm pretty happy with this picture myself as I think there's a LOT more depth and feeling that it's a city compared to my orginal effort last December
Well, The brown paper added so much to it. It's very nice, and you should be proud, but yes, the living in a tree would be so much more fun than living in a house on the ground, feh. Bless us with more of you tree cities, lol.
Thanks! I will! The brown paper is actually just normal "copy" paper. There were packs of colors for $4 at wallmart so I've been drawing on them... or in this case I did a small concept sketch, a bigger sketch, an inked version of the sketch.... and then I just printed the inked version onto colored papers and used gray markers on it (and white pencil). I actually have one on cream paper I colored too... and one I'm going to color on blue maybe
I don't think it'd be uhh awkward (is that what you're trying to say?) to live in a tree at all. Some people where I used to live built their front porch around a tree and had it growing right through the roof. *shrugs* I'd rather live in a tree city than around most of the people I meet these days
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

By "rough" .. I guess that means another one's on it's way. You can't back out now (like I do) because I'll be waiting.

This is your pilot speaking. It appears I have lied to you.
